Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.

Hours are published for 6 days a week. The most common schedule is 11 amโ€“9 pm. It is closed on Monday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (513) 376-7223. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.4 out of 5 from 746 reviews, which is a strong result for a chinese restaurant in Cincinnati and suggests consistent service.

This is the best Chinese restaurant I've been to in the US. I haven't spent too much time in NYC, so I cannot compare to those, but I spent many years in SF and LA and have not had better than Sichuan Chili. I no longer live in Cincinnati, unfortunately, but I am in town maybe one week per year and make it a point to visit Sichuan Chili multiple times. I will even freeze it and bring it home to Texas, where the Chinese food by me is mediocre at best. We have several go-tos (not in any particular order): Mapo tofu - lots of heat, but great flavor. Big and bold. Hot pepper chicken - this stir fried dish of jalapenos and chicken is excellent. There are times the head is overwhelming, but it also is loaded with flavor. It is not just a spice bomb. Hot and sour soup - my kids like all hot and sour soup, but I am yet to find one as good as the one from Sichuan Chili. It is very black peppery, but in a good way. It tastes different than any other hot and sour soup I've eaten. Chinese style kung pao - this is different than regular kung pao - lots of ginger, different vegetables than the US version. I am a huge fan. Green beans - these are excellent. Smoky, flavorful. My m

The food and service are top notch. Got an amazing lunch plate of kung pao chicken. The fried rice is perfectly smoky, light and flavorful. Chicken cooked nicely with plentiful portions. The egg drop soup was legit - big pieces of egg and a lot of flavor. Had to deduct a few stars because even though I was sitting comfortably inside the restaurant, when the door opens it lets in a cold burst of air. Not good in the winter, but at least the food and service warmed me up. Definitely recommend though.

Sichuan Chili is the real deal for authentic Chinese cuisine โ€“ bold flavors, generous portions, and that true Sichuan heat that keeps you coming back! We went for takeout and it was flawless: the General's Chicken was crispy perfection with just the right kick, the fried rice packed with veggies and shrimp, and the veggie stir-fry was fresh and snappy. Everything arrived piping hot and smelling amazing. Even better? The staff is straight from the motherland โ€“ most don't speak much English, which just screams authenticity (we used a mix of pointing, smiles, and Google Translate, and it worked like a charm). No watered-down Americanized stuff here; it's genuine, fiery Sichuan goodness. If you're craving legit Chinese takeout in Cincinnati, skip the chains and head to Sichuan Chili. Pro tip: specify your spice level โ€“ level 2 had us sweating in the best way! ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ๐Ÿค๐Ÿฅก

We visit this restaurant from time to time. Sichuan cuisine is one of the eight main regional cuisines of China and is highly regarded for its complex and bold flavors. The cuisine has a history of more than 2,000 years and has evolved over time with influences from neighboring regions and countries. The restaurant is clean and well-maintained, and the staff is always welcoming and attentive. Food is fine! Check out pics what we ordered during our most recent visit! Overall, if you're looking for a Chinese restaurant, I would recommend checking out this place.

It was my first visit but my daughter and son-in-law had been there many times and were anxious for me to try it. The food was spectacular, hoping to get back soon! Try something from the Traditional menu, you will be very pleased! I did not get a picture of the Won Ton or Dumplings we had, they were gone too fast....delicious!
